MyHurryApp has three main icons:

What is the ?

 

By tapping the icon you can browse the following views:

  • Discover
  • Offers
  • Last Minute
  • Map
  • Calendar
  • Inbox
  • Favourites
  • Notifs

 

All these will be discussed below.


What is the ?

The Search icon directs you to the main Search Menu which will be discussed below. From the Search Menu you can look up business by name or app user name, or else browse All Businesses on MyHurryApp, all Business Categories on MyHurryApp or the Home view.


What is the icon?

The drop down menu directs you to the app’s navigation view where you can either Register or Login, as well as browse My Jobs (if you are a business), My Requests, My Business (if you are a business), My Profile, Help, Contact and Settings.


How to Create an Account

To create an account, access the icon on the top right corner of the screen and tap “Register”.

You have 2 options: you can either choose a Consumer (App User) Account or a Business (Service Provider) Account.

When the selected account type turns orange, you can tap “Next”.

1) If you have opted for a Consumer Account, you need to fill in some details, such as your Name, Surname, Address, Contact Number, Date of Birth and Email address.  You must also create a password. You must upload a Profile Picture. This can be a live photo you take, or a photo stored in your Photo Library. You can also tap “Use Facebook” for some of your details to be automatically filled in, including your profile picture.  By tapping “REGISTER ACCOUNT”, your consumer account registration process is complete. You will be required to Accept our Terms and Conditions as well as our Privacy Policy. You will then be requested to activate your account by inputting the email address you chose when registering for the account as well as an activation code you would have received.

2) If you have opted for a Business Accounts, first see steps for creation of Consumer Account. After tapping “REGISTER ACCOUNT”, your consumer account registration process is complete. You will be required to Accept our Terms and Conditions as well as our Privacy Policy.

The next steps relate to your Business Account.  You must fill in more details such as your Business Name.  You must select your main business category. You may then choose from 1 to 5 sub-categories falling under the chosen category.  

NOTE: if no sub-category applies to you, you are required to select the closest sub-category and get in touch with us immediately so that we can cater for your desired sub-category if this does not violate our Terms and Conditions.  

You are then required to drop a pin on the map indicating your business location. The address should then be filled in automatically.  If the automatically generated address is not 100% accurate and correct, you can still amend it. If no address has been automatically generated, you are required to insert the business address manually.

You will now be required to create an app username. This can be the same as your business name, however it cannot include any spaces or capital letters.  It also has to be a unique username which has not already been taken.

EXAMPLE: If your business is called MyHurryApp Solutions, your username can be myhurryappsolutions.

You will also be required to insert your Business Email, Business Phone Number as well as select your Business Hours. You must also provide a brief description of your business and the services you offer as well as provide your business website. Finally ensure that you have uploaded your business logo. To finalise your registration you must tap “ADD BUSINESS”. You will then be required to accept the Business Terms and Conditions. Subsequently you can upload up to 9 images of your business.


How to Log In to an Account

To Log In, access the icon on the top right corner of the screen and select Login.

Input the email address and password you used to create your account. You then tap “LOGIN”.

If your account has not yet been activated, you will be prompted to insert a code which you will receive via SMS.


How to Convert a Consumer Account to a Business Account

If you own a business and you would like to benefit from the advantages of a Business Account, you can still do so even though you would have first applied for a Consumer Account.

All you need to do is, Log In to your account. You must then tap the icon on the top right corner of the screen and tap “Packages”.

You must then choose the package you would like to benefit from. By tapping “Get Started”, you will then have to first accept our Business Terms and Conditions and then you will be directed to the Check Out view. Your respective app store will handle the payment.  

The next steps relate to your Business Account. You will be directed to your Business List view. On the right-hand side of the screen, start by tapping “Add Business”.

How to Upgrade a Current Business Package

To upgrade a current Business Package, you must first be logged in (you can check how to log in by accessing the Help view).

Access the icon on the top right corner of the screen and tap “My Business”.

By tapping “Package Details”, you can view your existing package details as well as a history of previously purchased packages.

By tapping “Upgrade Package” on the right-hand side of the screen, you will be directed to the Packages view where you will be required to choose the business package you would like to upgrade to. By tapping “Get Started” you will then be directed to the Check Out view where the new package details will be displayed such as the date of expiry of the package. Your respective app store will handle the payment. 


What is the Search Menu?

From this view, one can look up a particular business by typing the Business Name or the Business User Name in the “Search” field.

If however, one does not have a particular business in mind, one can browse the relevant category and its sub-category by tapping “All Categories”. If “All Categories” is not visible, tap “Home” and tap the search icon again. “All Categories” should now be visible. When tapping “All Categories”, the different business categories will be visible.  By way of example, if one taps on “Baby and Child”, one can then view the sub-categories for the “Baby and Child” category. At the top right corner of this view, by tapping on “What’s this?” a brief description on that category and its sub-categories can be found.

  1. tapping on the relevant sub-category one can then find a list of businesses which provide the services relevant to that business sub-category.

By tapping “SEND REQUEST TO ALL”, all businesses within that sub-category will be notified with your request which must include the date and time when the service is required, as well as the necessary details regarding that same request. After tapping “SUBMIT”, all relevant businesses will be notified with your request.

From the Search Menu one can also browse all businesses on MyHurryApp by tapping on “All Businesses”. By tapping on “View” you can view any business profile of any business from the list.


How to Look up a particular Business

You can look up a particular business by tapping on the Search icon typing the Business Name or the Business User Name in the “Search” field.

If you want to send a request only to that one business, you must browse that Business Profile view and tap “SEND REQUEST”. Your request which must include the date and time when the service is required, as well as the necessary details regarding that same request. After tapping “SUBMIT”, that business will be notified.


How to Browse Categories and Sub-Categories

By accessing the Search Menu , , one can browse any relevant category and its sub-category by tapping the and afterwards tapping “All Categories”. If “All Categories” is not visible, tap “Home” and tap the again. “All Categories” should now be visible. When tapping “All Categories”, the different business categories will be visible.  By way of example, if one taps “Baby and Child”, one can then view the sub-categories for the “Baby and Child” category. At the top right corner of this view, by tapping on “What’s this?”, a brief description on that category and its sub-categories can be found.

By tapping on the relevant sub-category one can then find a list of businesses which provide the services relevant to that business sub-category.


Start a Communication with a Business

When you are browsing a Business Profile, by tapping “SEND MESSAGE”, you can start a communication with that business.

You can also communicate with a business whenever you send a request for a service with any business who would have received the request. There is the possibility to communicate by accessing the particular job request and using its own chat functionality. To do so, you must tap on the on the top right of the screen, select the relevant request if there are more than one and select the business you want to correspond with. Any business may initiate communication with you by contacting you directly through the job request (no business may however initiate communication with you through the Inbox).


Get Directions to a Business

When you are browsing a Business Profile, by tapping “GET DIRECTIONS”, you are given the directions to that business.


Add a Business to your Favourites

When you are browsing a Business Profile, by tapping “ADD TO FAVOURITES”, you are adding that business to your Favourites.


Send a Request to one Business

If you want to send a request only to that one business, you must browse that Business Profile view and tap “SEND REQUEST”. Your request which must include the date and time when the service is required, as well as the necessary details regarding that same request. After tapping “SUBMIT”, that business will be notified.


Send a Request to all relevant Businesses

By accessing the Search Menu , one can browse any relevant category and its sub-category by tapping the and afterwards tapping “All Categories”. If “All Categories” is not visible, tap “Home” and tap the again. “All Categories” should now be visible. When tapping “All Categories”, the different business categories will be visible. After tapping on the relevant category and sub-category one can find a list of businesses who provide the required services relevant to that business sub-category.

By way of example, if one taps on “Baby and Child”, one can then view the sub-categories for the “Baby and Child” category. At the top right corner of this view, by tapping on “What’s this?” a brief description on that category and its sub-categories can be found.

By tapping “Send request to all”, all businesses within that sub-category will be notified with your request which must include the date and time when the service is required, as well as the necessary details regarding that same request. After tapping “SUBMIT”, all relevant businesses will be notified with your request.


What happens after I send a Request to a Business or Businesses?

A booking is not placed whenever you simply send your request. The booking must also be accepted by one business (if you sent a request to only one business) or more businesses. You will either receive a notification whenever your request has been accepted. This same notification can also be viewed from the Posts view which is explained hereunder.

To do this, you must tap on the top right of the screen. Tap “My Requests”. When you do so, you will see the list of requests you would have sent out. When you tap on a relevant request, you can see that there are 4 tabs: “REQUESTS”, “PENDING”, “ACCEPTED” and “OTHERS”.

The “REQUESTS” tab shows the list of businesses who have been notified with your request but have not yet accepted or viewed it. The “PENDING” tab shows the list of businesses who are interested and have accepted to provide you with the service. The “ACCEPTED” tab will include the only business (from the list in the “PENDING” tab) you will eventually accept to provide you with the service. You cannot accept any other business if you accept another business first. The “OTHERS” tab will show all the other businesses who have either refused to provide the service and/or the ones you would have refused (for an explanation of each of these tabs and the actions available, you can tap on “What’s this?” in each tab view).

As soon as you book a business, the placed booking will be available in your Appointments, which will be discussed hereunder.

This whole procedure applies even if you would have sent one request to one single business only.

your request has been accepted, this still does not mean that a booking has been placed. For the booking to be placed, you must accept the business’ acceptance request.


What is the Discover view?

The Discover view which accessed from the icon and after you tap on “Discover” is the place where you can either ask or browse for recommendations.

You can ask for recommendations by tapping the What?, How, When? Or Who? Icon.You can ask your question, as well as add a photo relating to your recommendation.

You can browse recommendations by scrolling downwards in the Discover View. You will be directed to a list of recommendation queries, where you can give your recommendation by writing a comment and (optionally) by tagging a business.


Ask for Recommendations

You can ask for recommendations by tapping the What?, How, When? Or Who? Icon.You can ask your question, as well as add a photo relating to your recommendation.


Browse Recommendations

You can browse recommendations by scrolling downwards in the Discover View. You will be directed to a list of recommendation queries, where you can give your recommendation by writing a comment and (optionally) by tagging a business.


What are Offers?

The Offers view which is accessed from the icon and after you tap on “Offers” shows you a list of special offers being promoted by businesses. You can benefit from any special offers by tapping on such special offer from the list. The business would have provided details on that special offer.

You can then either message the business by tapping “SEND MESSAGE” so that you can benefit from this special offer. You can also tap on “GET DIRECTIONS“ to get to this business. You can also tap on “VIEW BUSINESS”, to browse the Business Profile of that business offering the special offer.


What are Last Minute?

The Last Minute view which is accessed from the icon and after you tap on “Last Minute” shows you a list of last minute availabilities being promoted by businesses. These typically would be cancellations the businesses would get during the day, which they will be urgently looking to fill up. You can benefit from any such hard-to-come by availability by tapping on such availability from the list. The business would have provided details on that availability.

You can then either message the business by tapping on “SEND MESSAGE” so that you can benefit from this availability. You can also tap on to get directions to this business. You can also tap on “VIEW BUSINESS”, to browse the Business Profile of that business offering the availability.

Occasionally, certain businesses may also send real-time direct notifications to consumers whenever there are any last minute availabilities.


What is the Map view?

The Map view which is accessed from the icon and after you tap on “Map” shows your location on the map, as well as the nearby businesses which have a drop-pin/marker, which you can tap. Upon tapping any drop-pin or marker, you can find out more about that business, such as its locality and address, as well as the service or services offered. You can then click any of the four available icons which are:

: by tapping this icon, you will be directed to the Business Profile view where you can explore any of the functionalities described above in the Search a Business FAQs.

: by tapping this icon, you can start a communication with that business.

: by tapping this icon, you are given the directions to that business.

: by tapping this icon, you are adding that business to your Favourites.

You can also filter the business showing next to you by tapping on “FILTER: ALL CATEGORIES”. You can then choose the Category you want to filter by and tap “SET FILTER”.

You can also search by Business Name from the “Search” field.


What is the Calendar view?

The Calendar view which is accessed from the icon and after you tap on “Calendar” shows all appointments booked through MyHurryApp. Businesses can see both their appointments as consumers as well as appointments where their appointments as businesses where they will be providing a service. By tapping on any day in the calendar, you can see the appointments booked (if any) for such day.


What is the Inbox view?

The Inbox view which is accessed from the icon and after you tap on “Inbox”, provides you the list of communications you have with different businesses. By tapping on a particular communication in the list or swiping it left and tapping on the eye icon, you can view that particular communication.


What is the Favourites view?

The Favourites view which is accessed from the icon and after you tap on “Favourites” shows the list of businesses added as your Favourites.  You can browse through these Business Profiles more quickly.


What is the Notifs view?

The Notifs view which is accessed from the icon and after you top on Notifs shows MyHurryApp activity notifications such as whenever a business contacts you, promotes a last-minute availability or if we update our Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy.


What is the My Requests view?

A booking is not placed whenever you simply send your request.  The booking must also be accepted by one business (if you sent a request to only one business) or more businesses.   You will either receive a notification whenever your request has been accepted. This same notification can also be viewed from the Posts view which is explained hereunder.

If your request has been accepted, this still does not mean that a booking has been placed.   For the booking to be placed, you must accept the business’ acceptance request.
